Blacktide comes from being responsible for the project, not merely reading about it.
Nick has spent three decades working inside capital-project delivery, project leadership and client-side representation across government, energy, industrial, office, hospitality, institutional, healthcare, retail, mixed-use and related project environments.
That experience included responsibility around schedules, budgets, approvals, project records, closeout conditions and owner decisions. It is the basis for Blacktide’s view that separate project lanes can each be moving while the owner still lacks a clear basis for what should happen next.
Blacktide was built to help close that gap without taking over the jobs of the project manager, contractor, consultant or decision authority.
Built to support the owner without becoming another delivery layer.
Blacktide is structured around disciplined owner-side governance, senior oversight and a clear separation from the formal delivery or technical roles already assigned to the project.
Engagements are scoped around the project condition, required cadence and information burden rather than around a fixed staffing model. Where specialist input is required, the relevant role, responsibility and source of authority are established as part of the engagement. Blacktide does not present owner-side governance as a substitute for technical certification or formal decision authority.
Good governance should make consequential choices clearer, not create more material.
The purpose is not to give leadership another stack of documents. It is to reduce the interpretation burden while keeping the decisions, dependencies, evidence and unresolved conditions that matter in view.
